Specialised Coating Processes Finding Pharmaceutical Applicability

The manuscript aims at furnishing comprehensive information pertaining specialised coating technology/ processes. Solid dosage forms and solid particulates (SDFSP) are the major contributing group in pharmaceuticals (SoPs). SDFSP exhibit peculiar physico-chemical properties interaction behaviour which create problems/ issues during their handling, processing, storage, use. Modifying and/or engineering surface attributes of advocated as powerful tool to modify realise worthy applications functionalities. In this regard surfaces with material (CM) is novel approach. Said approach involves wet dry process for realising deposition CM onto substrates. Both processes alter innate substrates either physically or chemically. Basing on involved method (DCM) (WCM). Accordingly nowadays there available number devices, that bases diverse technologies. Amongst them some state-of-art process/ technology like Supercell (SCT), Chemical vapour (CVD), Atomic/molecular layer (AMLD), Electrostatic deposition, Thermo-mechanical process, Resonant acoustic technology, Fluidised-bed Supercritical fluid (SCF) others. These foundational commercially availability equipments Magnetically Assisted Impaction Coater (MAIC), Resodyn mixer, Hybridizer®, Theta-composer®. Mechanofusion®, Working working principle, applicability, benefits, pros limitations technologies herein discussed presented. Contained hoped be beneficent pharmaceutical professionals technocrats allied field.
